The Februrary 21 meeting introduced a new structure for future agendas. First will be the items that we need to discuss, requiring immediate action. Below these items we will start with the IDEA conference which we agreed will be on every agenda meeting going forward.
This is then followed by the framework (above link) we used in Iceland to describe the new structure for the Institute. Each board member serves as a sponsor for a specific section, and will send the Secretary any items for the conference call before Monday morning, from this point forward.

IA Instiute Board of Directors Meeting
* IA Summit and AGM – To do list, milestones and assignment of tasks / responsibilities
ACTIONS:
-Dorian will work on post-cards for the IA Summit to promote the changes to the IAI
-Jeff will connect with Crystal at the IA Summit to get us access to the topic table on both days at the Summit.
-Jeff set up Writeboard and Milestone to have all Board Members add their ideas for what they will be discussing at the AGM.
ADDITIONAL DISCUSSION:
-Shari brought up the idea of having a raffle for books authored by her…we’ll look at getting that in place as well as the possibility of contacting Rosenfeld -Media and MK to provide books including Andrea’s latest.
-Noreen presented Denver locations for the AGM and a lead on a possible non-profit event planner candidate for IDEA 2012.
* Request for Sponsorship / German IA Konferenz / German IA Summit
-Noted that we will need a policy to put in place about the IAI sponsoring IA conferences globally in the future.
-It was agreed that we will find the money to support the German and Polish IA conferences.
* Discussed Blogging about our responsibilities – thoughts for how we could slowly begin to make community aware of our progress
* Additional items:
- Noreen published Salary Survey for IA’s today.
