Are you the next World IA Day Global Executive Producer?
It's been just a few weeks since we came together in 38 cities throughout the world on World Information Architecture Day to celebrate, learn and share ideas about “Architecting Happiness" in 2015. That one amazing day day is the culmination of almost a year of preparation by dozens of volunteers worldwide (cheers to you all!) working together under the direction of the World IA Day Global Executive Producer.
From developing the vision for the year's event to supporting the day-to-day efforts of city leaders, this person is in a unique position to have a direct and lasting impact on the field of Information Architecture. The Global Executive Producer has the opportunity to help shape the future of World IA Day for years to come and to form lasting professional connections worldwide.
Planning and coordinating an event on this scale is a tough but hugely rewarding job. So, if you are a strong leader with a love of Information Architecture, or know someone who is, please consider throwing your/their hat in the ring for the role of Global Executive Producer for the 2016 event.
Nominations close at 11:59pm (EST) on Monday, March 15, 2015. Nominees will be notified by email to confirm their acceptance and asked to write a short statement of intent for the position. Elections by the IA Institute Board of Directors will take place by the end of March.
