Bring World Information Architecture Day to your Hometown in 2015

Do you love information architecture? Have you dreamed of having the opportunity to conceptualize and run a one-day conference in your hometown?

Now is your chance! We are looking for cities across the globe where communities are passionate and intrigued by information architecture.

What is World IA Day?

This stimulating event brings together an international community of world-class IA minds including academics, practitioners, technologists and business leaders for a global conversation.

What is my role as a local leader?

As a local leader, World IA Day Global will provide support and guidance as you:

  1. Build a Local Team
  2. Plan your event with monthly milestones & check-ins:
  • Recruit volunteer team & submit draft budget (August)
  • Announce the event & recruit sponsors (September)
  • Determine Venue options & AV needs (October)
  • Finalize Venue, Speakers and Sponsors, Publish Schedule on Website (November)
  • Market the Event (December)
  • Experience Design for the Event & Registration Opens (January)
  • Launch WIAD event (February)

Where do I sign up?

Whether you decide to plan for a series of speakers or a workshop, this day is bound to be memorable. If you have strong leadership skills and are excited to tailor World IA Day for your community read all the details and submit your application at the bottom of the page by June 20, 2014.
