2009 Progress Grants Announced

The IA Institute is proud to announce the two winning proposals of the
Progress Grants for 2009!

Recipient: Neha Modgil of Mumbai, India Proposal
Title: ÔEmotional Scale' - Measuring User Feedback in Rural India

Recipient: Javier Velasco-Martin of Chapel Hill, North Carolina Proposal
Title: Exploring Intimate Self Exposure in Social Media

We had a number of fascinating proposals that represented hard work and innovative thinking from all applicants. We found ourselves wishing we had even more grants to give away, but the jury had to narrow it down to just two. Look for future announcements about the progress of these initiatives, and the details of their outcomes.

Congratulations, Neha and Javier!

For more information about the Progress Grants, see the Progress Grant Details page.

(Note: this announcement was posted to iai-members in November 2009 but was inadvertently left out of our newsletter and news site at that time.)
