Member Initiatives

  • Member Database: Our aMember experimentation has been successful. Board member Christian Crumlish and volunteer Nicola de Franceschi will plan and execute the full migration from MemberClicks to aMember most likely to be completed before the end of the summer. aMember has an open API and will allow full integration with our other systems. Way to go Nicola!
  • Events Calendar: The ACM has expressed interest in incorporating our calendar feed with their calendar, aggregating UX related events worldwide. Amy Francis is testing a Drupal calendar module so that we can move our current MovableType based calendar to a universal format. The current format supports RSS but Drupal will allow us to interface directly with iCal, Outlook and other calendar formats.
