The Tearjerker Award
The person who makes us cry the most (or at least feel a twinge of 1990s nostalgia) wins $250. This award is co-sponsored by Semantic Studios and the Good Olde Days.

The winner of The Tearjerker Award is Polar Bear SardinIA Edition by Gabriella Lussu.

The Miscellaneous Award
This award of $250 is sponsored by the IA Institute. Only contest entrants are eligible for this drawing. The winner may (or may not) apply their winnings towards eradication of the miscellaneous category.

We used a true randomness machine for this drawing. So, of course, the winner of The Miscellaneous Award is Samantha Bailey and her Coffee Cup.

World IA Day Thank Yous, Feedback and Videos

Our first annual World IA Day was a resounding success, thanks to our many volunteers around the world. None of this would be made possible without our Global and Local Volunteers, Speakers, and Sponsors. You all Rock! Read a full list of International WIAD credits.

Check out photos from events all over the globe on our WIAD 2012 Flickr stream. Also, if you are wondering how we developed the concept of WIAD in the first place, check out these interesting and informative blog posts from current IAI Board Members Jeff Parks and Dan Klyn.

Videos of the Keynotes by Lou Rosenfeld, Jorge Arango and Peter Morville are now available online. Many of the 14 locations taped their proceedings and created a short video of their "Best of Show", which are now published online for all to see. Voting for Best Video closes today, Wednesday February 29th at 6:00pm PST. The winner of this vote will receive a free pass to the 2012 IA Summit, so your vote does matter! Stay tuned for the winner, who we will announce next week!

We want to make 2013 an even greater experience for all involved! Send us your feedback via http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WIADfeedback or email us at suggestions@worldiaday.org. All feedback will remain confidential and shared with no one at any time, any where, any how, in any way… you get the point.

What's next? Stay connected to the IAI and World IA Day. You can follow us on Twitter @iainstitute and @WorldIADay. Keep up to date on our respective Facebook pages for the IA Institute and World IA Day.
